Web3 Nov 2014 · Actually, Brenneke slugs vary, but they all are high antimony lead slugs (they're hard). They have slugs for smooth or rifled bore, with ballistics for various distances. Many of their slugs are rated for 100 yards and beyond. They're my personal favorite when it comes to accuracy. The plastic shoe (sabot) around the 'slug' (bullet) is much harder than the soft lead used in the so called "rifled slug". The rifling on the slug does the job of the missing rifling in the smooth bore barrel.
